Spreading love & knowledge of plants

Our mission is to provide accessible education about plants through hands-on learning as well as guest talks and our blog. Check it out!

ABOUT US

Hortus Forum is Cornell's Horticultural club, run entirely by undergraduate students with a passion for plants! We grow a wide variety of houseplants on campus in the Kenneth Post Laboratory greenhouse complex, including tropicals, succulents, and seasonal plants like flowers and vegetables. We hold sales to maintain greenhouse costs, fund educational horticulture trips, service projects, and community social events.

Our mission is to provide Cornell students and the Ithaca community with affordable houseplants while spreading love and knowledge of plants.

What have our members got growing?

We hold our weekly events on Wednesdays at 4:40pm. Past events include making terrariums, floral designs, propagation tips, and our annual Halloween special, Pumpkin carving!

We also keep an up-to-date list on internship, scholarship, and job opportunities involving plants and horticulture.
