Who We Are
We are Cornell’s oldest plant-focused student organization, tracing our roots back to Liberty Hyde Bailey’s “Lazy Club.” Hortus Forum is a student-run community dedicated to exploring biodiversity, horticulture, and the joy of growing plants. We care for a diverse greenhouse collection of tropical and arid species, propagating them for bi-weekly plant sales that support our work and teach hands-on skills in plant care and business management. Each year, we represent Cornell at the Philadelphia Flower Show and collaborate with other ecology and plant groups to host educational events that celebrate biodiversity and connect students through a shared passion for plants.

Have a question or ready to place a plant order? We'd love to hear from you! We supply plants to buildings across campus, from the Plant Science Building to libraries and faculty office spaces, and we're always happy to help find the right greenery for your space.
We also work with student clubs looking to give away plants as prizes or awards, and can partner with organizations to plan and host a plant-potting event.
If you've spotted something on our website that's not currently in stock, don't hesitate to reach out. We may just have something special waiting for you.
